Giveaway Day 3

Today's gift is a lovely book called The Vintage Tea Party by Angel Adoree. It is full of advice, recipes, and pictures on how to throw your own vintage tea party. It even includes instructions on hair, make up and wardrobe! This is a book every vintage lover should have on their shelves.

Here is the cover the book. Isn't it gorgeous!

Just look at her hair! Perfection. There are instructions on how to recreate this look.

This is my favorite photo in the whole book. Beautiful.

Don't you just love this display of vintage vases and cups. A perfect way to show off your vintage collection and serve mini caprese salads on a stick.

Love these little cucumber sandwiches shaped like hearts.

Bunting sandwiches! Perfect for an afternoon tea.

To be eligible to win this book, all you have to do is tell me what you love about The Glamorous Housewife, and one thing you think I should change, or something I write about that you aren't interested in. The main categories I write about are on the menu bar just below the title logo. I am always trying to make my blog better, so I am looking for constructive criticism along with blatant adoration. This contest is available world wide!

  1. I love most of your posts being a vintage lover, I especially loved your basics post as it was really good for beginners like me. Maybe some more beginner posts like hairstyles/ make up tips as I'm always scouting them for hair similar to your length.

    Love and kisses

  2. I love this blog, it’s always the first one I check whenever I turn on my computer! My favorite part is that you talk about all aspects of being a gorgeous housewife, not just kids, but fashion, food, design, etc. One thing I would like to see more of is on posts where you talk about where to buy pieces of clothing, it would be great to see brands/stores that are more affordable. I’m a grad student, and I can’t afford Anthro (though I LOVE it) or Banana Republic....I shop at Target and Crossroads, so it would be nice to see more affordable options that are still retro and fabulous.

    Keep up the good work!

  3. I love your blog. I read several blogs about vintage fashion (and beauty), but I really like the well roundedness of your site. I would like to see more "vintage" recipes, parenting tips, etc.

  4. I love that you are chic and give options for vintage style that do not have to be actual vintage nor super expensive (ex. the Target dress!). I also LOVE that you include some eccentricities in your style posts at times. Maybe because I am a little eccentric. =)

This is only because it doesn't necessarily apply to me. I still read posts about parenting, but because I'm not a parent, they just don't "hit" me like the others. I do enjoy the photos though of precious new baby & I actually really enjoyed your pregnancy style.

    1. I didn't think anyone actually read my cooking posts, so I really slowed down on them. Good to know they are missed! I will be bringing those back then.

  7. I have really enjoyed your blog! My favorite posts are on fashion, but the food ones are quite high up on my list of faves as well. I love the variety you offer and love to see that continue. Something I would really like is to have the ability to search your blog so I can reference entries from the past that I have enjoyed. I also think that video tutorials on hair, makeup and even accessorizing outfits would be fabulous!

  8. I agree with the others: love the fashion post, you've got a great style. Tutorials would be awesome! I'm less into the cooking posts...

  10. That book looks amazing!

I really appreciate all the eye candy you provide us with when you show off your house or your outfits. I'm not really a fan of the Picture with a Quote posts, but that's mainly because they fill my bloglovin' roll and I never click on them.

Keep it up please, it's so nice to see a decent, well-put together woman these days. Thank you <3

    1. What!!! You don't love A Picture And A Quote!! LOL. I know they are not the most popular, but I have been collecting quotes since I was in middle school and I love to share them. And the pictures are so pretty. As for the house, there will definitely be more in the future.

  11. I love your blog! You find the best pictures and have great style. The only thing I don't particularly enjoy is the occasional parenting posts, but only because I am very far from become a mother myself. Not a criticism really, just doesn't pertain to me :)

  12. I love your blog! I haven't been reading it for very long but so far I love everything! :) My favorite thing so far have been the fashion/hairstyle posts, especially the pregnancy and nursing ones because I'm currently expecting my second child and borrowed all of my maternity clothes last time around, so I'm starting back out from scratch :) Also, this book looks just lovely!!

  13. Oh my! I'm a vintage fanatic and really enjoy that we seem share many of the same interests. Your blog is tastefully done with beautiful pictures and is quite easy to navigate - as opposed to information overload found on some other blogs. I would surely break out in zebra stripes if I were lucky enough to win this delicious book :-) Thank you kindly.

  14. I love the fashion inspiration - getting a vintage look from modern clothes. I also love snaps from out and about - interesting buildings or people you may see!

The only thing that isn't relevant to me is being a glamorous mama, because I don't have children!

  15. Love your blog! My favorite are the fashion posts. I only wish that you added a few different pictures of each outfit. Sometimes you can't see the whole thing, especially if you're sitting down. And as much as I wish I could shop at anthro, I cannot afford it. Maybe a monthly post about an outfit you put together at a thrift store? Overall, I love the posts...even the quote and picture ones!

  16. I love your vintage style!!! Out of all your categories, I guess I am least interested in collecting, but not really since I do collect some vintage items, so sorry I can't help with the criticism! I would love to win this book though; thanks for the giveaway!

  17. Out of all the blogs I read this has to be one of my favourites because you cover everything that I love. There isn't anything I don't like your blog is perfect in everyway, just like Mary Poppins says!

  18. I love the fact that you have 3 little ones and still manage to keep yourself looking put together. I would like to see some video tutorials on how to achieve your hair-dos.

  19. Of course I enjoy the oufit posts, and the post about basics was very very helpful. I feel of all the retro/fashion blogers I read your style is the most approachable. Not my faviorte? A picture and a qoute, its nice and the pictures are cute but most of the time I just scroll on by.
